Step back in time at the oldest operating Great Camp in the 6-million–acre Adirondack Park. Once an 1800s stagecoach inn and post office, the Lodge now lets you relive that history with an authentic stagecoach ride through the Adirondack woods. Travel the same trails early pioneers once did, rolling past towering evergreens until you reach the tranquil shores of Lake Clear—part of New York’s only wilderness canoe area.
But watch out—legend has it that bandits still roam these trails, waiting to surprise unsuspecting travelers!
Survive the ride, and you’ll be rewarded with entry through a hidden doorway into a Prohibition-era Speakeasy, complete with a walk-in beer and wine cellar. From there, step into our Fireside Lake View Dining Room and savor our signature Taste of Germany Menu. Reservations are required. You can make a reservation online by entering your number of guests and selecting an available date and time. The time you select is when we are expecting you to arrive and start in the Speakeasy.
