Our expanded History of Food reaches back to the origins of various foods, how food shaped history, the myths and legends of their healing power, and how the hunt for certain foods formed the quest for world discovery, created our way of life, and associations with people and cultures.
Start off in the 1920s Speakeasy Rathskeller, explore the hidden Beer & Wine Cellar with a large variety of Old World Wines and Beers from around the world. Savor authentic German dishes from Ernest’s side of the family from Heritage Chicken Schnitzel to Old World Roulade.
Relive the Lodge's beginning as a Stagecoach Inn by riding an authentic 1800s Stagecoach through the woods and to the beach...but watch out for those 1800s Adirondack Highwaymen! Continue your journey in the 1920s Speakeasy, then meander to the 1886 Dining Room for a Taste of Germany Dinner.
