For nearly 140 years and generations of family, we have catered to the public as one of the last original Adirondack Great Camps still open to the public with a 1920s Speakeasy. This enables us to provide you with authentic experiences, both new and timeless, in a stunning setting.

Old World Dessert Cooking Demo
A family-fun 30-minute cooking demo, where everyone rolls in the dough to make their own strudel! Then you can have your dough and eat it too – as your own creation for dessert!

History of Beer Workshop & Tasting
Join Ernest Hohmeyer for a 30-minute experience about the history of beer, replete with a tasting of 6 beers from around the world! The topic changes monthly, corresponding with seasonal beers and trends, but you can always count on interesting conversation and tasty beverages.

Taste of Germany Experience Dinner
Start off in the 1920s Speakeasy Rathskeller, explore the hidden Beer & Wine Cellar with a large variety of Old World Wines and Beers from around the world. Savor authentic German dishes from Ernest’s side of the family from Heritage Chicken Schnitzel to Old World Roulade.

History of Speakeasy Spirits
A 30-minute workshop about the history of spirits, when it started, and why! Were spirits always called cocktails? Highlighted by a tasting of unique variations of our "Giggle Water" spirits.

Pioneer Wagon Ride & Pub Dinner
Ride a Pioneer Wagon with Lucky Clover Farm and authentic draft horses through the woods and to the shores of Lake Clear. Get dropped off at the 1920s Speakeasy, then meander to the Lake View Great Camp for an Old World Pub Dinner.

Sunset Stagecoach Ride & Old World Experience Dinner
Relive the Lodge's beginning as a Stagecoach inn by riding an authentic 1800s Stagecoach to the beach at sunset. Begin your journey in the 1920s Speakeasy (be sure you know the password!), then meander to the Lake View Great Camp for an Old World Dinner Experience. Complete your evening with a Sunset Stagecoach Ride...but watch out for those 1800s Adirondack Highwaymen!

Savor the five eras of Adirondack Food, featuring the Pioneer era celebrating the origins of the Lodge as an 1800's Stagecoach Inn and Post Office. Cooking demos and stunning sunsets over Lake Clear await you.

Block Therapy Class
Join Cathy Hohmeyer, a Certified Block Therapist, for this unique and simple exercise process that all ages and stages can learn and do almost anywhere, anytime! The onsite 45-minute class includes instruction, space, and the use of a block. The online 45-minute class includes instruction and how to get started (or continue) at home!

Old World Cooking Class
Traditional food preparations and techniques are making a comeback! Keeping ourselves Nourished is primary importance for all of us. These are fun and simple classes that teach more than just "how to cook." Come for the fun and camaraderie, go home feeling empowered! Not applicable for children under 12 unless family is present.
