Sunset Pine is a suite in our Lake House, nestled at the edge of the pines. It is the perfect romantic getaway with a private jacuzzi and king bed.
The Details
Sunset Pine has a double jacuzzi, a king-size bed, a separate den with folding doors and a fold-out couch, and a corner view of our Great Camp Lake Lawn. It is also symbolic of our family's unique design to each lodging, as the bedroom has a beautiful pine tree branch hanging from the ceiling with netting, almost as if you are tenting!

Though our location in the woods and on the water creates a rejuvenating destination alone, there is no WiFi, TVs, or phones in our lodgings to ensure a serene stay with a focus on relaxation, mindfulness, and making meaningful connections. We encourage you to unplug from the stresses of daily life and instead plug into the sights and sounds of nature.
However, we understand that complete disconnection may not be an option for all our guests. For your convenience, we provide complimentary WiFi in the Main Lodge lobby and gazebo.
Additionally, cell phone carriers that use Verizon towers do have some service and LTE/data coverage.

Highlight
The Story
The Lake House, of which Sunset Pine is a part, was the fourth major construction project we undertook to expand the Lodge. We were determined to keep as much of the original mannerisms of how Cathy's family built the Lodge in the 1800s, so what could have been a quick build took us much longer, as we milled wood from the estate to give it feel and character. By doing that, we had to cut and place each board individually. The bedroom hosts a unique pine tree branch canopy. This one particular branch Ernest Hohmeyer Jr. kept running into as we were building the Lake House. One beautiful lake sunset evening, the branch did its notorious thing and, hence, Sunset Pine. We use all the resources on the 25-acre estate as sustainably as possible, leading to our Five Green Leaf Award as a Green Hotel with Audubon International.

Eagle's Nest Suite
The Eagle's Nest suite is an open second-floor suite with a sunset lake view. It has a spacious open floor plan and features a queen bed with one bathroom, highlighted by a beautiful second-story view of our Great Camp Lake Lawn and picturesque beach from an enclosed porch.
Great Camp Remembrance Suite
A view of the 3-acre Great Camp Lake lawn, which leads to our serene beach on pristine Lake Clear, highlights this two king/twin bedroom suite with a spacious living room and kitchenette.
Reflections Suite
Our closest suite to the lake with a beautiful sunset lake view and king-size bed, featuring a romantic Jacuzzi bath with a view of the antique wood-burning fireplace.
