November Moon Chalet
The November Moon chalet is a two-bedroom chalet with fold-out couch, wood-burning fireplace, and kitchen.
The Story
November Moon was designed by Cathy Fisher Hohmeyer’s father, whose Saranac Inn Sawmill was the source for the famous Saranac Inn resort at the turn of the 20th century. The Saranac Inn was the largest ever built in the Adirondacks where over 1000 guests could stay, and it was visited by five Presidents. The November Moon Chalet was built in that Great Camp style.
In November Moon you will not find one piece of trim. Each board was hand placed and individually cut. It is nearly 1,000 square feet, built as a miniature Great Camp with vaulted living room ceiling, wood-burning fireplace, and kitchen. This two-bedroom chalet with queen size fold out couch sleeps 2-6. It is surrounded by our interpretive nature trails, which serve as our lantern-lit sleigh ride trails in the winter. There is also a connecting cross-country ski and snowshoe trail right from your chalet door!
