About the Lake Clear Lodge & Resort

We are one of the last original Adirondack Great Camps open to the public, built by current co-owner Cathy Fisher-Otis-Hohmeyer's family in 1886 as a stagecoach inn, post office, and trading post. Today, this iconic legacy continues with three generations of the Hohmeyer family who have reimagined the Lodge with 25 acres of nature trails, an Adirondack Alps restaurant, a 1920s Speakeasy, Adirondack lodgings, a Lake View Retreat Center, and one imagination-inspiring sunset beach in the window frame of NYS only wilderness canoe region.

Unique activities mark our experiences ranging from winter Stay, Speakeasy & Sleigh to Fall Foliage Tastes of Octoberfest and haunted rides. Fun for the romantic, families, and adventurers, as well as group gatherings and weddings.
